Just wanted to see what it would look like in digital, and then I decided to make a completed image of it by adding the figure and frame. Done in Painter X and took way longer than it should have.

I've been wanting to experiment with using some 3d elements in my 2d paintings for a while, so with this I used Vue for a basic land mass and to give me a lighting model for the rest of the image. Whether I'll use this method again I'm not sure. I'll see what kind of comments I get first
Took a few days to complete and except for the Vue bit I mentioned, was done in Painter X.

The software used was Painter, again with very few tools. This image was actually painted before my other one 'The Mirror' I just posted in the wrong order, oops.Any comments and crits are more than welcome.I'd rather have someone say 'That's crap' and explain why than have have someone just say"Nice", not that I have any problems with compliments

Took about three days, which is quick for me! No background story for this I'm afraid, I just made it up as I went along which is how I prefer to paint unless I'm working to a brief. I used a basic Poser figure as reference for the character (just a naked James).
